Open Tooling: Ascent Partners Publishes Its MCP Servers and Public APIs
Ascent Partners has published its open tooling: a set of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and public APIs that put valuation, sustainability and development work within reach of AI agents. The tools are open — no API key — and their source is public.
The firm is a decision-support firm: it pairs the knowledge a decision needs with the implementation that makes it hold. The tools are that implementation half, opened for inspection — so that when a decision rests on a number, the machinery behind it can be examined rather than taken on trust.
What is available
- Valuation MCP — a deterministic, IVS/IFRS-cited valuation engine: 14 tools and 135 methods for company, financial-instrument and intangible valuations.
- Intangible Asset Valuation MCP — 124+ formulas for relief-from-royalty, MPEEM and incremental cash flow, across ASC 805 / IFRS 3 purchase-price allocation and ASC 350 / IAS 36 impairment.
- Startup Valuation MCP — 80+ formulas covering scorecard, Berkus, the venture-capital method, Black-Scholes and scenario analysis.
- ESG Hub API & MCP — 350+ articles and 240+ resources across GRI, IFRS S1/S2, TCFD, TNFD and ESRS, with Hong Kong and Asia-Pacific guidance.
- Vision Driven Design MCP — a spec-driven methodology for AI coding agents: eight phases, seven quality gates (108 checks), released under the MIT licence.
How to connect
Each server is hosted over Streamable HTTP. Add its endpoint URL as a remote MCP server in any MCP client — including OpenCode, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and VS Code — and the models can call it directly. Each tool page carries copyable configuration snippets for the common clients.
The tools are published through the firm's technology practice, led by co-founder Paul Wu. They sit alongside Technology Advisory, which proves whether an automation or software decision is worth pursuing, and the Ascent Partners Foundation's work on open, sustainable practice.
